Soluppgångs projektet at Rörshult

At 05:30 in the morning aug 30th 2026 , a small group of humans, several loudspeakers, and at least one questionable life choice gathered deep in the forests of Småland to greet the sunrise.

The idea was simple: arrive before dawn, carry an immersive sound system into the woods, and create a listening experience where the boundary between composition and landscape became increasingly difficult to locate.

As darkness slowly gave way to morning light, sound moved through the trees while birds negotiated their copyright claims on the soundtrack. The audience sat among moss, pine trees, and a surprising amount of silence, experiencing the transition from night to day as both a natural event and an immersive performance.

No stage. No walls. No roof.

Just a forest, a sunrise, and a temporary reminder that sound has always been spatial.

For a brief moment, Rörshult became a concert hall designed by geology, weather, and several million years of ecological research and development.
